Do I need to pay a deposit?

 

A 20% deposit will be required within 14 days of booking your wedding makeup. This deposit will secure me as your Makeup Artist. The remainder of the balance can be paid any time before the wedding or on your wedding day if you prefer. I will send all confirmation in a contract for your records.

 

 

What is your cancellation policy?

 

In the event that you need to cancel your booking, please confirm as soon as possible. 8 weeks’ notice will require payment of 50% of the balance. 6 weeks’ notice or less will require full payment. Cancellations also refer to altering the number of people requiring makeup.

 

 

Do I need to have a trial?

 

In my opinion, it’s absolutely imperative for the bride to have a trial. It’s important to establish a relationship with your Makeup Artist before the big day and to feel completely comfortable with the person you’ve trusted to do your makeup. From a practical perspective, you’ll need this time to a have a thorough skin consultation, to discuss your requirements, to list any cosmetic allergies and finally, to get an impression of how your makeup will look and feel.

 

 

When should I book my trial?

 

Preferably 6-8 weeks before the wedding. It’s best to book a morning trial so that you can wear the makeup for an extended period of time.

 

 

Do you also do wedding hair?

 

I specialise in makeup but can suggest a few highly recommended hairstylists. 

 

 

I hardly wear makeup, should I hire a Makeup Artist?

 

As a Bobbi Brown trained Makeup Artist, I am used to creating extremely natural makeup looks. Wedding makeup doesn’t have to mean heavy makeup. We can discuss ideas and concerns during your trial.

 

 

Are you insured and fully qualified?

 

Yes to both. Makeup Artists should not be working without public liability insurance.

 

 

What are your travel costs?

 

Destinations within 15 miles of Bristol BS4 are no extra charge. Beyond 15 miles, a charge of 40p per mile (to and from) will be added.
